7 - Anime

Anime is the Japanese version of cartoon. Even though people who love anime does not accept this reality. I also like anime and I know it' better that plain cartoon shows. Every anime gives a moral lesson or an inspiring message that we can carry through our lives. For example, the Naruto series. The main protagonist in this anime never gives up whatever obstacle he goes through. He turns anything people say to him as a motivation to do better that he does. Another is the Pokemon series. Although it doesn't clearly portrait it, I got the feeling that the anime wants to tell how important friends is and how we should treasure them at all times.

Another anime is the Ore Monogatari series. This anime is about a high school boy that is a size of a giant gorilla and how he fell in love in a small and kind girl. Even though he doesn't have the looks, the girl still fell in love with him. This anime showed that falling in love doesn't have to be based on the looks, but on the personality and how the person is willing to do anything just to show his love.

And lastly, the Tokyo Ghoul series. This anime is about a young boy who turned into a half-ghoul and how the world will accept his existence. This anime is tragic and has a lot of sad moments with it. The young boy struggles on which will he choose: to deny that he is a new being or to accept it and suffer the consequences. In the end, he chose to accept the reality just to protect his beloved friends from other ghouls and the government. This anime shows how your decision can affect the world. Be it good or evil.

Still, a lot of people hates anime. They're saying that it ruins the point of view of the people who watches it to the real world. I don't agree with that. Instead of doing some useless things that will only severe your humanity, I  encourage you to watch anime. It's fun and stress relieving.

6 - Swimming

The earliest recording of swimming dates back to stone age from around 10000 years ago. Now, swimming is a sport where everyone can participate in. Swimming is one of the most popular Olympic sports, with events  in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. I, for one, have the ability to perform all the strokes in swimming. Although I don't consider myself good at it. So what are those strokes used in swimming? I'm here to tell some additional information about it.

1. The Freestyle Stroke

Freestyle is fast and efficient. In fact, it is the fastest of all strokes. That's why it is used in freestyle competitions and in the swimming leg of triathlon. You can learn this easily.

2. The Breaststroke
A young man swimming breaststroke
Breaststroke is often  the first swimming stroke  taught to beginners. In fact, many occasional swimmers can only swim this stroke. The advantage of breaststroke is that you can keep your head above the water. This avoids breathing and orientation issues. More experienced swimmers however submerge their head during the stroke cycle to improve efficiency. Breaststroke is the slowest of all strokes.

3. Backstroke

As its name suggests, backstroke is swum on the back. It uses alternating circular arm movements and an above water recovery. The legs execute flutter kicks similar to the one used in freestyle.
Backstroke is faster than breaststroke but slower than butterfly. Doctors sometimes tell their patients to swim. Swimming can help you cure your back problems.

4. Butterfly stroke

The butterfly stroke stands out the most among the competitive strokes because of its unique and spectacular technique.  It uses a symmetrical arm stroke with an above water recovery. It also uses a wave-like body undulation and a dolphin kick. Butterfly is the second fastest stroke after freestyle. Once you mastered it, swimming a few lengths of butterfly can be a lot of fun.

Being able to perform those strokes is a lot of fun. Two years ago, I participated in a swimming competition. It was my first competition ever. I was nervous and told my coach that I don't have the skills to participate in the competition. My coach told me that " Nothing matters when you're in the water". After hearing those words, I realized that I just have to believe in myself. I got 7th place in the competition. Thanks to my coach, I was able to finish all the strokes. Swimming is really fun and I suggest you should try it.

5 - My Daily Routine

Why would I write something about my daily routine? Because I have nothing else to write . Every day I wake up, eat my breakfast, take a bath, put on my clothes, and go to my school. I'm not here to talk about that. I'm talking about what I do when I don't have classes and alone in the house. You might think that I do inappropriate stuff, but bear with me as I go with my day.

Of course I would wake up. Then I go back to my bed and sleep for two to three hours. You might think this post is boring. Trust me,it gets better.

Next is, I eat my breakfast. How is this relevant? Without eating my breakfast, I wouldn't be able to get to the next phase of my routine.I also need the energy  for the next phase.Having fun yet? There's more.

Believe it or not, I go to the gym. This past two months, I was going to this gym near my house. After I get myself ready, I go straight to the gym. These past few days, I couldn't go to the gym because my schedule at my college won't let me. When this term ends, i will go to the gym and grind myself. The next part is my favorite part. Isn't it amazing? We're almost finished.

After that, I go home and get less productive. I know some of you would spend their day in front of the computer. I also do that. I play anything I find in the internet. I watch everything in the internet except "those". I still have my dignity. I wouldn't do that. I never do that. I swear I don't watch those things. After spending all my time staring at the computer, I finally get to my bed.

Do you ever get that moment when you try to sleep, all the ideas you didn't think of earlier would burst off? It happens to me too. That's why I like doing things at night. Every night, my mind would be so active that I can't sleep at all. I hoped you liked this totally interesting post of mine. Sorry if this post doesn't meet your expectations. This was made out of boredom.

4 - Maki

As the saying goes, "Dog is man's best friend". I totally agree with that. They're cute. Loyal and fun to be with. I had this dog named Maki when I was still a child. She was so energetic. I always play with her. She was my friend when I didn't have any. I always talk to her expecting a reply. Of course she wouldn't reply. When we had to move, my mother said that Maki would be left with my grandmother. I didn't agree to her, but what can I do. So we left our old house. I was so sad. I entrusted my grandmother to take care of her. One year passed, I visited my dog in my grandmother's house. I was expecting to see my energetic and jolly dog that I grew with. When i saw Maki, she was already ill. She couldn't move at all. I was so sad that I ran to her. When Maki saw me, her tail was still moving. I cried so much. I hugged her so hard. My grandmother told me that Maki could die anytime. That moment, I vowed to not leave her until she passes away. The day after, Maki died. I was so glad that I was there when she passed away. I'm so glad that I had Maki as my friend. Maki isn't just a pet for me, she was part of my family. Maki will be remembered and will always be my friend.

So if you have a dog or any kind of pet, cherish the moment that they're still alive. Pets are not toys that you throw away when you get tired of it. They are alive and needs to be loved. Dogs are indeed man's best friend.

3 - How to Manage Time

Everyday, we have a lot of work to do. Like projects, assignments, presentation, speeches, and many more. It feels like we don't have much time to do all those things, right? I too have trouble in managing my time. Today, I'm here to give some tips on how you can manage your time.

TIP 1: MAKE A LIST

Before you manage your time, you must know what it is you must manage. Make a list of task, mundane to critical, will help you to handle on what needs to be finished.

TIP 2: BALANCE EFFORT

Work on small portions every day of work that will be due by the end of the week, starting with the most important task.If you finished today's task, you could do a little of tomorrow's, so that it will be a lot faster for tomorrow.

TIP 3:FOCUS ON YOUR MOST PRODUCTIVE TIME OF THE DAY

Some people likes to work at morning, while others like to work at the night. For me, I am a night person. I don't have a particular reason for being like that. It's the person's choice when to do all the tasks.

TIP 4: TAKE A BREAK

Take time and refresh your mind. Have at least ten to fifteen minutes of break. After that, go back to work. Remember, you can take more than one break, but don't overdo it.

TIP 5:KEEP TRACK OF YOUR PROGRESS

Cross off the tasks you already finished. Doing this will give you the feeling of relief and accomplishment. Also, you can avoid doing your task twice.

TIP 6:SLEEP FOR SEVEN TO EIGHT HOURS A DAY
Manage Your Time Step 9 Version 2.jpg
You might ask " But Captain, isn't sleeping time consuming?". Yes you are right. But sleeping seven to eight hours will help your mind to be more active and able to think clearly. It will also put you at your high level state of thinking. You'll be able to function properly.

Why is time management so important? Time is limited. You can accomplish more with less effort. Make better decision. Be more successful. Reduce stress. Higher quality of work. And finally, creates discipline. Does that explain it?
